The following is from the 2007 schedule - changes maybe made to classes offered!!!!!!!!

 

Admission Requirements:

 To be admitted to the MBU program the student must: 

*Be a registered Scout.

*Submit pre-registration form and course      fee to the Scout Service Center no later than Monday, January __, 2008.

Course Fee:

Each Scout registered in MBU will receive a Merit Badge Book and a Certificate of Graduation. The fee also covers the noon meal.

The course fee is $_____.

A $5.00 late fee will be charged, if paid later than January __, 2008.

To be completed prior to class:

*Scouts will receive their merit badge pamphlet upon acceptance of their registration application.

*Scouts should review their merit badge pamphlet thoroughly prior to attending class.

*Scouts should research and prepare all required reports prior to attending class.

Certificates and Graduation:

Scouts who successfully complete the requirements for the Merit Badge course will receive a Certificate of Graduation from Merit Badge University.

It is very important that you complete any requirements for your chosen merit badge prior to your arrival. Failure to do so will result in receiving an "incomplete" for the course.

General Information:

Each Merit Badge Class will be limited to the first ten applicants to register.

When registering, please list your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice. If your first choice is filled, we will schedule you for your next available choice.

 

MBU Scholarships:

MBU is open to all Scouts in the Choctaw Area Council. If a Scout needs financial assistance to attend, please contact the Scout Office for information on MBU Scholarships.

MBU 2007 offer the following Merit Badge Courses:

Cinematography Communication First Aid Space Exploration
Citizenship in the Community Electronics Metalwork Woodwork
Citizenship in the Nation Emergency Preparedness Personal Fitness Courses may change
For Webelos Only: Artist Showman
For Adult Leaders, Ventures, and Older Scouts (14+):            Check back for updates
Schedule:
Registration (Ivy Auditorium) 8:00 - 8:30 AM
Orientation 8:30 - 8:40  AM
Skills Sessions 8:45 - 12:00 PM
Lunch (will be provided) 12:00 - 12:45 PM
Graduation (Parents are Invited to Attend) 1:00 - 1:30 PM
